About Me
Who are Little Marvels?
Hi, I’m Hannah! I set up Little Marvels at the end of 2025 whilst on maternity leave. I have two beautiful daughters and they drive my passion towards wanting Children and Young people to be heard, be safe and be aware. I absolutely love my job within the NHS and continue to work full time, with Little Marvels running in the background for now with the hope to build on this.
Prior to working in the Children’s Safeguarding team I worked as a neonatal nurse and was an executive member of the Neonatal Nursing Association (NNA). I have spoke at conferences, written an article which was published in “The British Journal of Nursing” Development of a toolkit to aid health and social care staff in acute hospitals to identify childhood exploitation | British Journal of Nursing and was shortlisted for a National Nursing Times Award in view of this work. In 2025 I. also completed the “training for child protection trainers” course with the NSPCC which has enabled me to develop and deliver training to a high standard.
If you have any questions, please do pop us an email or find us on Facebook or Instagram: Little Marvels Children’s Safeguarding Training and @littlemarvelschildrenssg. We will aim to get back to you within 3-5 working days.
Offering training to professionals, parents, caregivers & children…
The NSPCC (2024) states that improved training for professionals could improve recognition of abuse. Increased awareness for the public could also improve recognition of abuse and the understanding of how to report concerns and protect children. Finally, working directly with children and raising their own awareness can encourage them to tell someone about what is happening to them. We want to make sure that any adults can have access to training – be that a parent/guardian, grandparent,aunty/uncle!
Please note, we cannot provide you with safeguarding advice on individual cases. Please contact the NSPCC through their website or the Child/Young Person’s Local Authority e.g. Cambridgeshire County Council if you require advice/support. For any URGENT help please call 999.
I am a Professional…
If you’ve landed on this page, I’ll assume you’re a professional who either needs Children’s Safeguarding Training or manages staff who do. Anyone who works or volunteers with children and young people should have the right knowledge and skills to help keep them safe, and organisations have a clear duty of care to anyone under 18.
Safeguarding and child protection requirements are set out in statutory guidance, and legal duties vary depending on your sector. I know safeguarding training often gets a bad reputation… Think dull e-learning or wordy PowerPoints. This training is not that. It’s engaging, practical, and designed to leave you feeling confident about safeguarding children.
Our training can be delivered via MS Teams, though face-to-face is always our favourite. If you don’t see what you need on the website, get in touch and we can explore developing something bespoke.
Some courses are CPD-certified (clearly marked), meaning they’ve been reviewed for quality and are recognised by professional bodies. Non-CPD courses still come with a certificate of attendance for your CV or portfolio.
Please note, it’s your responsibility to ensure you or your staff complete the correct level of training. Requirements vary by role, sector, and employer, so we recommend checking your organisation’s own policies and guidance.
I am a Parent/Guardian or Caregiver…
It is really important to me that I can provide appropriate, factual and engaging Children’s Safeguarding Training to whoever needs or wants it.
Whilst our services are aimed at professionals/businesses, we also have training packages that are designed for parents, guardians or any other adult really! I am aware that even as a parent or guardian some of you may have safeguarding experience, be that through work or your personal lives, but also that some of you may never have even heard of the term – whichever one it is, we can ensure the training is appropriate for you.
Whilst we welcome parents and guardians, we can absolutely provide training for anyone else who may wish to participate, such as grandparents, aunts, uncles – you name them. Our aim is to raise awareness of safeguarding and support you to understand how to recognise, respond and refer to safeguarding concerns if you have any. You can have a certificate of attendance and some of our training is CPD certified!
I am a Child/Young Person…
Hello! Firstly, welcome to Little Marvels! If you require any immediate safeguarding help, please call 999 and ask for the police. Please be aware that I cannot provide you with any individual support or help to concerns you may have – please speak to a trusted adult or contact Childline on 0800 1111 (they have an online chat service). If you disclose any safeguarding concerns to me, I will have to inform the appropriate professionals.
Secondly: Safeguarding Children/Young People includes anyone from when a lady is pregnant with a baby up until they turn 18. If you are under the age of 18, you are legally required to be safeguarded. Sometimes, this may be that you yourself need safeguarding or perhaps you are worried about someone else. It may even be that you just want to learn a little more about what safeguarding means and what it is, and that’s absolutely fine too! Please do send me an email if you would like to ask me any more questions. The training we can provide to you is an “Introduction to safeguarding” and training about Exploitation – to put this simply, exploitation is when someone is forced to do things that they don’t want to do for gifts/money or through fear. Sometimes you may not know you are being exploited and that is where my training can help you gain that understanding – take a look at the exploitation training link which will provide more information. If there is any other training you would like to attend please email me and we can discuss this.
Please note: if you are under the age of 16 I need your parents permission to attend any training.
