Introduction
Level one is the most basic level of safeguarding, for those who work with children or young people indirectly e.g. receptionists, housekeepers, taxi drivers. This level of safeguarding can help to identify concerns in places such as waiting rooms.
What does the training include?
- To understand what Safeguarding is.
- To recognise why it is important.
- To gain knowledge on basic safeguarding legislation.
- Gain an understanding on different types of abuse, including domestic abuse.
- To have an awareness of the most vulnerable groups of children.
- To gain knowledge regarding the Think Family agenda.
- Develop awareness on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
- Understand how to respond to a disclosure/concern and report these.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and consent.
Where is the training?
This can be done on MS teams or face-to-face for groups at request – please contact me to discuss.
How long is the training?
90 minutes. If you cannot find a date or time that works, please do get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Is this course CPD Certified?
Yes and you will get a certificate.
How much does this cost?
£20pp. There are discounts available for group bookings of 10 or more, please contact me for further information. A face-to-face course is available too – a slight increase in cost may apply, please enquire to find out more.
